On February 25th Cole moved to Murray to his own apartment. We had planned on making his room a guest room and then Dennis proposed the idea of me moving my craft room to Cole's old room.
(I think he was tired of seeing the mess I had in my craft room...)
After much thought I decided to go for it. It would give me a chance to clean out the old and start fresh. So here is the empty room after Cole moved out, except the old chair he left behind.
I decided to go with Spring Green, black and white for my colors. I just love how they go together.
We painted and then I bought lots of bookshelves at IKEA.
Dennis mounted these on the wall so I could put my rolling carts underneath them. I warned him they would be pretty heavy when I got my stuff on them so he went to extra lengths to make sure the brackets would hold a lot of weight.
I still need to make my curtains but for now at least the material is neatly where it's going to be until I can get them made.
There are still some finishing touches to be made and I still have some stuff to go through in my old craft room to move over, but it's almost complete.
Dennis has worked so hard for me in getting this done. Lots of bruises and cuts through the process.
I wanted 2 levels of countertop, one where I could sit on a barstool or stand and one where I could sit like a desk. I love how it turned out.
I even have space left :) I can't wait to start working there.
