Cole Buys his First Home

After seeing Lyndie & Nate's townhome Cole decided to start looking for his own place. His rent was going up again and so it was the perfect time to look.

He bought this townhome in Midvale that was brand new and was just being completed.
Den and I, and Colin helped Cole move in the furniture and last minute stuff on a hot Saturday in August.

July 2013

Colin celebrated his 21st birthday with a quick stop by the house to open his gift. Then they went out to Brick Oven for his birthday dinner.

Karen and Brian and their family were here from California and we all got together and went to Brick Oven for a yummy pizza dinner. Love that place!

Den and I rented a condo up at Wolf Creek for a few days. We were able to relax for a few days. Jandie & Colin, Lyndie & Nate came up on Saturday and spent the night.

Jandie & Colin drove their new car up.

Cole's Birthday and the 4th of July

We redecorated our master bedroom and got a new comforter set. We got brave and Den painted one wall brown.

Cole celebrated his 27th Birthday with the usual Cookie Sheet cake and presents.

Wayne & Janet came for the 4th of July this year. When Ken found out he decided to come too.

We ended up doing the BBQ at Shirley's house.

We had the fireworks and homemade ice cream at Lisa and Bill's.

Father's Day Weekend

Dennis and I went to Idaho to a family wedding. It was nice to get away even though it was a quick trip. We went by the Idaho Falls Temple and walked around the trail.

We also stopped by the Brigham City Temple on the way home.

It's not uncommon for my dad's birthday to fall on Father's Day like it did this year. He turned 85 years old.

Lyndie & Nate's New Home

Towards the end of last year we took Lyndie to Saratoga Springs to show her some of the housing options out there. Little did we know that 6 months later they would be moving into their new town home.
It's been a stressful couple of months for Lyndie & Nate with all the mistakes and shifting move in dates but they finally got to move in over Memorial Day weekend.

We got everything moved in and lots of stuff put away on Saturday.  The painters still have to come and finish painting their base boards and touch up paint as well as a few other things. Their new home turned out so nice and hope it will be a great place for them to live.

Exotic Car Experience

Den loves cars and has always wanted the opportunity to drive the exotic ones. He had the opportunity to drive a Ferrari and a Lamborghini at the Miller Motor Sports Park.

They made you wear a helmet and go through a safety lap and then you were able to go as fast as you dare on the other three laps.

He drove the Ferrari first and then a couple hours later he was able to drive the Lamborghini.
Just as he was about to do so, Channel 4 News set up to go LIVE with their 4:00 newscast.
The weatherman Jim Kosek said "Lamborghini" and pointed to Den as he was about to drive off.

He went a lot faster the second time around because he knew the course and the driver told him he could squeal the tires, so he did and had a BLAST!

Den gets a new car

Den got himself a new car. A 2012 Jetta GLI and he absolutely loves it! He really likes to put that TURBO to good use.

The Reception at the Highland Gardens

The reception turned out very nice and looked beautiful.

We appreciate all those that took the time to come. It was Spring break so we missed a lot of people.

Jandie chose not to have a professional photographer at her reception. The cake cutting pictures were a challenge as their wasn't very much light over the cake table. Jandie & Colin fed each other a bite of cake so their was no mess.

The Wedding Lunch and Reception

It was nice to have the Reception center so close to the temple.

Colin's mom and some of her friends put on the lunch and did a great job.

We had Zupa's sandwiches, chips, two kinds of soups, cheesecake with a choice of toppings and a raspberry sherbet drink.

Mr. & Mrs. Colin Magleby trying to eat without getting any spills on the wedding attire.

I put together a wedding video of Jandie & Colin growing up that we played at the lunch and also at the reception.

It was wonderful to have our family and friends there supporting us.

Jandie & Colin Get Married

It's been awhile since I have done a blog post. Life has been a bit crazy the past couple of months with
Lyndie & Nate moving and a wedding.
On Thursday, April 4th Jandie & Colin were married in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple.

The morning started off a bit stressful, but it all worked out. The weather was gorgeous that day.

 Our Family of Seven
The Magleby Family minus Amanda & Blake who are serving missions.
Our families and friends minus those that left before pictures. You know who you are.....

After pictures at the temple we left and went to wedding lunch at the Highland Gardens.
